Women of Vision is partnering with ITVS to promote the Women and Girls Lead campaign
Women and Girls Lead is a multiyear public media initiative to focus, educate, and connect citizens worldwide in support of the issues facing women and girls. Combining independent documentary film, television, new media, and global outreach partnerships, Women and Girls Lead amplifies the voices of women and girls acting as leaders, expands understanding of gender equity, and engages an international network of citizens and organizations to act locally and reach out globally.

I watched The Day My God Died about sex trafficking in Nepal. It is a good lead-in to our Sheryl WuDunn event. Women and Girls Lead and ITVS advertise a new film coming out about Half the Sky.
This is awesome! I’m currently working on a documentary about real women in America. The premise of the documentary is to highlight all the true aspects real women, from various cultural backgrounds, with the hopes of dispelling some of the junk that is shown on these reality shows and to build up women and young girls around the world. All women don’t act like or look like what is seen in the media and on some of these shows. I want women and young girls to feel good about who they truly are. The best part? I’m filming it with my daughter who just graduated from the Ohio School of Broadcast Media, We are filming our experience too.
