This weeks Prayer Call comes from Jeanie Ralphs. 

Our focus this week is seeking our Lords Protection.

 Father God, as we draw near to you this week in prayer for our upcoming National Conference, we ask now for your hedge of protection to surround each of us from Satan’s power.

 We cling to the following truth:

Jesus is our Refuge.

He is our shelter from danger or distress, our hope, the one in whom we trust in times of difficulty.  Jesus says . . . Trust in Me.  You can depend on Me, to be what you need.  Every evil attack on your thoughts, emotions, health, finances, loved ones, work, home, trembles where I am Lord.

 Psalm 94:19 when anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

Psalm 94:22 But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge

Jesus is our Guide. 

He knows the way through life and has promised to never leave or forsake us.  With our hands in His, Jesus will lead us.   He says … when the pressures of the world and the attacks of the evil one threaten to destroy you, look to Me. I am the way the truth and the life.  With my righteousness as your covering, the attacks of discouragement, doubt, and despair will be cast off. 

 Isaiah 49:10b He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them beside springs of water.

Jesus is the Belt of Truth, the Breastplate of Righteousness, the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit.

He knew we would be confronted by Satan’s attacks, his lies and tempting ways.  Jesus is the covering, the vital protection of our heart, and mind.  Because of Jesus we can stand before God in prayer and stand before Satan in battle.  Because Jesus is in us, we have the battle armor we need to win.

Ephesians 5:13-18 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray n the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayer and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Father God, we also ask for your hand of protection on those we serve around the world. 

Isaiah 58:10 and if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed then your light will rise in the darkness and your night well become like noonday
